Fed up with having to squint at movies, photos, emails and text messages on your mobile's microscopic display? Then Orange France is offering the full heads-up experience, courtesy of its "video glasses".
The slimline shades hook up to Samsung's D600E mobile phone by cable to display whatever's on the screen. The glasses also sport a pair of integrated earphones.
Orange premiered the goggles at a French Sci-Fi channel event earlier this month, presumably hoping to attract all those Star Trek nerds who'd like a visor like Geordi LaForge's. Except, of course, he doesn't wear one any more.
You can see more at Orange France's Flash presentation here. (http://www.orange.fr/content/ge/high/offre/nouveautes/evenements/lunettes_orange.html)
The spectacles cost €299 - €120 more than Orange France wants for the D600E you'll need. Both are available from some of Orange France's shops in larger cities around France, along with a number of France Telecom stores. ®
