Club 3D has begun shipping its ATI-based mid-range X1600 XT graphics card loaded with 256MB of GDDR 3 video memory and ready to work with any compatible CrossFire-enabled card.
The memory is clocked at 700MHz (1.4GHz effective) and connects to the 600MHz, 12-pipeline GPU across a 128-bit bus.
The board sports a pair of DVI connectors, along with an S-Video TV-out port. There's no video-in support, but the card does boast ATI's Avivo image processing technology with H.264 decoding in hardware and 40-bit colour.
The company said it was bundling Colin Mcrae 2005, PowerDVD 5, PowerDirector Express 3, PowerProducer 3 and Medi@show software with the board.
The X1600 XT is expected to retail for around £130 including VAT. ®
