Can you take the act of demonstrating your support for Apple's diminutive iPod Shuffle too far? The latest in iPod-oriented apparel, the PodShirt, might well prove that you can. PodShirt's new t-shirt incorporates a magnetic clasp on the right breast to hold your Shuffle exactly where the 'i' in the screen-printed iShirt caption appears.
According to PodShirt, the iShirt uses a "patent-pending magnetic clasp system" that requires no modification to the Shuffle and holds it in place "even with vigorous activity. A quick pull easily removes it from the shirt".
Ah, but who's quick pull? In order to show off your shirt to its best, you won't want to wear anything on top of it. So what's to stop some passing desperado from reaching over and snatching it away while you're mind's floating away to The Great Gig in the Sky or somesuch?
Whatever, the company behind the clothing claims the clasp doesn't affect the Shuffle's playback, but it insists you shouldn't wear an iShirt if you have a pacemaker fitted. The clasp is removable if you want to wash the shirt.
The iShirt's available from PodShirt (http://podshirt.com/) for $28.99 plus postage and packing. International orders are welcome, the company says. It's only offering the iShirt in medium and extra-large sizes. ®
