JVC today unwrapped a pair of LCD TVs with integrated digital tuners. It pitched the products' inclusion not only of twin HDMI ports, but also their support for the HDCP copy-protection system. And JVC lauded the screens' bass-boosting sound systems and picture enhancement technology, too.
The 32in LT-32DX7 and the 26in LT-26DX7 DynaPix displays both incorporate the latest generation of JVC's Digital Image Scaling Technology (DIST) 32-bit single-chip image control system, which works to reduce noise without reducing picture quality, smoothes lines that might appear jagged in the customary field-to-frame signal conversion process, dynamically adjusts brightness, colour intensity and tone, and highlights the edges of moving objects for greater clarity.
The screens feature Waves Audio's MaxxBass bass-boosting sound system, along with a parametric equaliser to further enhance low-frequency sounds, JVC said. They have 20W RMS output and "3D cinema sound", it added.
In addition to the two HDMI ports, each set has a pair of SCART connectors, and S-video and AV inputs. Both screens have a 1366 x 768 resolution, and can display HD images at up to 1080i with PAL and NTSC support. In addition to the digital TV tuner, they have analogue reception too.
Available now, the 26in and 32in tellies cost around £1099 and £1399, respectively. ®
