Dell support sites lists Mac OS notebook downloads
Wishful thinking?

Boy, has this one got people pondering the possibilities. Dell's support site for its Latitude X1 "ultra-portable" notebook includes "Apple Mac OS" among the list of operating systems for which users can download drivers and utilities.
Engagdet is credited with spotting the typo first. Mistake it must be, for all Dell's keenness to offer its customers Mac OS X should Apple ever decide to make its system software available to PCs as well as its own machines.
Certainly, so far as we can see, the X1 is the only Dell machine with Mac OS drivers - excluding the OS X drivers Dell supplies for its various printer offerings, of course. Even the software downloads available for the X1 appear to be Windows executables.
So near, and yet so far, folks... ®
