ATI posts Catalyst 6.7 drivers
Windows and Linux versions

ATI has posted its Catalyst 6.7 driver package. For Windows users, the download is backed by WHQL certification, but Linux fans haven't been ignored - a version of the drivers for the open source operating system has also been released.
Catalyst 6.7's headline features include the ability to activate manually CrossFire's Alternate Frame Rendering mode for Direct3D applications by moving the Catalyst AI slider to the Advanced position. ATI said it is encouraging users to apply this setting if they are not seeing significant performance gains in applications when Crossfire is enabled.
The company admitted, however, that the enhancement will not work with Direct3D apps that already have a problem with AFR.
The drivers, now at version 8.27.10 now support X.org 7.1 X Server via the ATI Driver Installer as well as via packages for supported distributions that utilise X.org 7.1.
ATI’s Catalyst 6.7 for Windows software package is available for XP, Media Center Edition 2005 and XP Pro x64. The drivers support Radeon 9500 and higher-numbered GPUs, along with all the X-class chips.
