Designer punts 'perfect' portable workstation
Fold-up unit with 17in screen, keyboard, graphics tablet

Portuguese industrial designer João Pedro Carneiro has come up with this intriguing design for a portable computer created specifically for content creators that incorporates not only a keyboard but a graphics tablet too.
The concept is based around a free-standing 17in monitor with a flip-out stand. The tablet is mounted on top of the system unit which snaps onto the LCD section. The keyboard is sandwiched between the two but is removable to allow it to be used alongside the tablet.
Carneiro says he designed the device as part of a "personal project" to come up with a "comfortable and powerful workstation aimed for the designer's working needs, that can be carried anywhere".
You can see more of João's design work here, along with more images of his concept system.
It's not clear how the unit connect together for transport or for usage, but hey, there's no question the system has style. ®
