Logitech today unveiled a pair of iPod-oriented speaker sets it plans to punt at consumers this coming Christmas. Both sets will be offered under the AudioStation brand and support a wide array of dockable Apple music players.

The AudioStation Express is a portable product - it runs on AA batteries or off the mains - and there's a 3.5mm-jack socket so iPod-less users can still hook up alternative music players or other audio sources. The Express sports a pair of 6.cm front-mounted speakers and a side-mounted bass port. The unit's kitted out in white with black audio ports and grilles, all the better to match both black iPods and white ones.

The standard AudioStation is all black and equipped with backlit, touch-sensitive controls for full control of the set's tone and its 3d sound mode. On the audio front, it includes a pair of 2.5cm tweeters and two 10cm woofers. the whole unit's 40.6 x 18.4 x 10.6cm and includes an AM/FM tuner with RDS station identity technology.
Both AudioStations are set to go on sale in October and ship with remote controls. The Express will retail for around £80, while it sibling will cost £200. ®
