Details have emerged of ATI's upcoming Radeon X1300 XT and Radeon X1650 Pro GPUs, which the company announced today but provided relatively little in the way of detail. Graphics card supplier sources suggest each part will be offered in a range of memory and core clock configurations.
The X1300 XT will be clocked to 500MHz, but offered with DDR 2 memory running at 400MHz (800MHz effective) and, separately, GDDR 3 clocked to 500MHz (1GHz effective). The DDR 2 is connected over a 64-bit bus, while the GDDR 3 connects across a 128-bit bus. The core contains four pixel shaders and a pair of vertex engines. ATI's HyperMemory 2 technology is supported too.
The X1650 Pro has a single 128-bit bus, but again will be offered with DDR 2 or GDDR 3 memory, clocked to 400MHz, 500MHz or 700MHz (800MHz, 1GHz or 1.4GHz effective). The core is clocked to 600MHz and contains 12 pixel shaders and five vertex shaders.
For its part, ATI said the X1650 Pro will retail from $99/€89, while the X1300 XT will cost around $89/€79. Both GPUs support CrossFire configurations, and are due to ship on 14 September. ®
