Volkswagen subsidiary Seat has joined the fleet of car makers keen to cash in on the iPod arena and launched a special edition of its Ibiza hatchback featuring not only an integrated digital radio but also a connector for Apple's music player. The car also sports a MP3-compatible CD unit.

The Ibiza 1.4 DAB Special Edition is a three-door machine and ships with air con, metallic paint, alloy wheels, electric windows, remote central locking, front fog lamps, and sport seats and suspension. Its power plant is a 16-value petrol engine capable of bringing the vehicle from a standstill to 62mph in 11.2s. The top speed is 118mph and the car consumes fuel at the rate of 42.2mpg. It has a CO&sub2; rating of 161gpkm.
The vehicle is expected to retail for around £9,000. ®
