Samsung will tomorrow take the wraps off its HSDPA-enabled SGH-i520 handset, one of the few handsets we've seen coming from the South Korean giant that's based on the Symbian operating system and Nokia's Series 60 (S60) user interface.
The 1.8cm-thick SGH-i520 will be pitched at the European market, Samsung said, and buyers on the look out for a phone with full PDA functionality. The slider handset sports a 2.3in display. It has Bluetooth 2.0 on board and a two megapixel camera. It can connect to a PC using USB 2.0.
The SGH-i520 is actually Samsung's fourth Symbian-based phone. This one's running S60 3.1 on top of Symbian 9.2, the manufacturer said.
There's no word yet on when the SGH-i520 will ship here. ®
