Say hello to Shine, LG's follow-up to the hugely popular Chocolate series: a metal-cased slimline slider that's a mere 1.4cm thick. In place of the usual multi-way control button, the handset uses a scroll bar.

The silvery aluminium-cased SV420 - it'll also be available as the KV4200 and LV4200 for different South Korean carriers - weighs a mere 115g and measures 9.8 x 5.1 x 1.4cm. It's got a 262,144-colour, 240 x 320 'metal mirror' display and 1GB of on-board memory - plenty for the handset's media playback features and for 128-voice polyphonic ringtones.

LG's fitted the phone with a two-megapixel camera with flash - which can double-up as a torch, the company said. Korean buyers will even get an built in map of the Seoul subway system to help them around.
Part of the Black Label line like Chocolote, there's no word yet on Shine's international availabilty, but we can't wait. Can you? ®
