It folds up... It communicates...

Is Samsung's SPH-P9000 a phone or a UMPC? It runs Windows XP, has a 30GB hard drive, 256MB of memory and a 1GHz Transmeta processor. Then again it has CDMA EV-DO network connectivity and - a first for a mobile device? - Mobile WiMAX on board. It's got a 5in WVGA display and a 1.3-megapixel camera - front-mounted for webcam usage. Bluetooth's part of the package too.

The cute bit's 560g SPH-P9000's fold-out QWERTY keyboard, a two-part job not unlike a Bluetooth keyboard, but which also incorporates a pivot for the screen section. Folded up, the handset measures 14.3 x 9.2 3cm.
The device has a 2,980mAh battery, but Samsung also plans to offer a longer-duration 7,200mAh unit too.
The SPH-P9000 will be launched in Korea first half of 2007.
