Elitegroup (ECS) this week announced its latest flagship Nvidia-based graphics card, based on the GPU maker's GeForce 8800 GTX and equipped with 768MB of GDDR 3 video-buffer memory. It also unveiled a board based on the 8800 GTS.

The top-end card is the N8800GTX-768MX. It has a 575MHz core, while the memory runs at 1.8GHz over a 384-bit bus. The GTX has 128 unified shader units capable of churning through 38.4bn texels every second.
The N8800GTS-640MX ships with a 500MHz, 96-shader core and 640MB of GDDR 3 clocked at 1.6GHz and operating on a 320-bit bus. Both cards can be run in SLI multi-GPU configurations and are ready for both Windows Vista and DirectX 10.

The two twin-slot cards have two dual-link DVI ports and HDTV-out. There's no word yet on availability or pricing. ®
