Ladies and gentlemen, will you please welcome Shuttle's newest flagship quad-core small form-factor PC, the SD39P2, ready to tempt European gamers and lovers of high-speed computing with four-core fun.
The SD39P2's based on Intel's 975X chipset, so it'll take any desktop Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Extreme or Core 2 Quad processor, dual- or quad-core. The machine is ready to be configured with up to 8GB of dual-channel 800MHz DDR 2 memory, and up to three 3Gbps SATA II hard drives in a variety of RAID data-protection configurations.
The machine has Gigabit Ethernet, Firewire, eight USB 2.0 ports, and S/P DIF input and output connectors for digital audio routed through its 7.1-channel HD sound system. There's even an eSATA port round the back to connect even more high-speed storage.
And for anyone who really wants to push this system, Shuttle has kitted it out with an array of overclocking utilities.
