You might want to double check your links.

Argos.com offers systems for the building industry, and does not (AFAIK) have a high street presence.

Methinks you meant argos.co.uk - or can we expect gaming-chair equipped builders on site any day now?

I'm pretty sure you wanted to link to http://www.argos.co.uk/ , not http://www.argos.com/ , which seems to sell CAD modeling software.

USB 2.0 - or not?

IIs it me, or do the USB 2.0 ports on my laptop seem too slow? I copied some files from a friend onto a USB stick, and they copied quickly. But transferring them onto my machine was very different.

Mac OS X Tiger out, Leopard back in

I couldn't resist. I went back to Leopard. I've been running Apple's latest operating system for well over a month now, originally 10.5.1 and now 10.5.2, with no untoward effects...
