Frag Fatal1ty and win big, kit makers pledge
23rd May 2007 10:27 GMT
Want to win one and a half grand? Course you do, but to stand a chance of taking the big cash prize offered by graphics card maker PowerColor, mobo manufacturer Universal Abit and cooler company Cooler Master, you'll have to beat professional games player Jonathan Wendel.
Oh, and you'll have to fly out to Taipei early next month for the heats, which take place just ahead of the Computex trade show.
Wendel goes by the handle Fatal1ty and having blown the seven shades out of numerous rival gamers has licensed his gaming name to said Taiwanese vendors who hope lesser mortals will believe Fatal1ty-branded products will make them as good at games as he is.
But for this contest, that's just not good enough - to win TWD100,000 (£1516/$3000), to have to beat the boy.

Wipe the smile off this guy's mug and win big money
To try your hand, tip up at the Aztec Internet Café on Taipei's Nan King East Road at 12pm on Saturday, 2 June and register. The heats run through until 6pm. Whoever wins on the day will be invited back on 5 June to take on Wendel at Quake 4.
