Evesham eyes Vaio with Zieo monster laptop
23rd May 2007 15:14 GMT
According to Evesham, the Zieo N500-HD's designer, the new 17in desktop replacement machine is the "ultimate gaming platform" and a "mobile work horse".

Evesham's Zieo N500-HD: got any desktops that need replacing?
Hyperbole? Certainly, but the N500-HD has an impressive spec: 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo T7500 processor; 2GB of 667MHz DDR 2 memory; 1GB Intel Turbo Memory Flash cache; 160GB 5400rpm SATA hard drive; dual-layer DVD writer; 1.3-megapixel webcam; Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi networking; Bluetooth; three-in-one card reader; ExpressCard slot; HDMI port; and a built-on digital TV tuner with remote control.

Definitely an snazzy media centre system then. The 17in 1680 x 1050 display is driven by an Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics chip with 512MB memory all for itself, so it's no slouch in the gaming department either.

Zieo vs Vaio
And it all comes with a three-year warrant and a price range that starts at £1099. The Zieo N500-HD is available now.
