Monster - a company best known for its high-end A/V cables and its lavish Consumer Electronics Show parties - has started selling iFreePlay, a set of foldable earphones with an integrated dock for Apple's second-generation iPod Shuffle.
Monster iFreePlay: with added Shuffle
The headset weighs a mere 46g, though plugging in a Shuffle adds a further 16g to the total - still pretty light, though.
Numbers nuts will want to know that the iFreePlay has a maximum power output of 20mW, a sensitivity of 110dB/mW and an impedance of 32Ohm.
Monster iFreePlay: folds for portability
The important number is the price: a mere $50 (£25/€37) before postage and packing, from Monster's online shop (http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=4449).
