Multi-room music system specialist Sonos has cut the price of its introductory hardware bundle by ten per cent to £699 from £779.

The deal's better than it sounds, as the package now includes a ZonePlayer ZP100, which incorporates a 50W amplifier. The new bundle comprises the ZP100; the smaller ZP80, which connects to a separate amplifier; and the handheld, colour screen-equipped Controller. The previous bundle packaged together the Controller and two ZP80s.

Bought individually, the new introductory bundle's components would cost £877.
