First we had the mini skirt, then we had the mini motorcyle and now we have the mini printer or, more specifically, the Dell 1320c – the manufacturer's smallest colour laser printer to date.
Its 40 x 42 x 38cm measurements mean it's sure to fit onto even the smallest of desks. The slinky black number also gives a 600dpi resolution at up to 16 pages per minute in black and white, or 12ppm in colour, both on A4 paper.
Under its hood, the 1320c packs 64MB of RAM for page, picture and font caching. Dell's software also lets you manage colour printing costs, and create and monitor up to 50 user accounts at a time - if you avail yourself of the optional add-on networking kit.
The 1320c retails for £222/$299, so it's also nice to see that Dell has matched the 1320c's proportions with a similarly compact price. The RRP also includes cyan, magenta, yellow and black cartridges, with replacements costing between £27/$60 and £39/$79 for black and each of the colours, respectively.
