Alienware beams down dual-core, dual-GPU laptop
Monster

Alienware has unveiled its latest high-end laptop, the Area-51 m9750, a monster 16in machine with a dual-core Intel processor and - if you fancy it - a pair of Nvidia SLI GPUs.
The m9750 may sit below Alienware's 19in beast, the AMD-equipped Aurora mALX, but it still packs an almighty punch though, with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and up to 4GB of dual-channel DDR2 memory. Although, the laptop is highly customisable, depending on the size of your wallet, that is.

For example, users can choose between either a single graphics chip, the Nvidia GeForce Go 7950 GTX, with 512MB of GDDR 3 video memory, or two of them operating co-operatively in SLI mode, one VGA and the other DVI.
A solid choice of storage is available, ranging from single 200GB SATA HDDs to twin 160GB HDDs. Optical drives are also available in a range of choices.
Networked gaming is well supported as well, because a whole host of connectivity options are available. On the wireless side these include integrated Bluetooth and 802.11a/b/g/n wireless. On the wired side, you have Gigabit Ethernet.

A four-in-one memory card reader is also optional, but four USB 2.0 ports are built in as standard.
It's no slim machine, though. It measures 39.7 x 29.8 x 4.7cm and weighs in at 3.9kg. But then what else would you expect from such a monster of a games machine?
The m9750 is available now directly from Alienware, with the basic price of £1198/$2099.
