Japan to get ultra-dinky Bluetooth USB dongle24th August 2007 09:42 GMT Another runner has jointed race to be first to release the world's smallest USB Bluetooth pick-up. Japan's Princeton today launched its PTM-UBT3S, pledging to bring it to market in September.
The diminutive 'daptor - it's 1.9 x 1.4 x 0.5cm and weighs a feathery 5.5g - provides Bluetooth 2.0+EDR connectivity and will be compatible with Windows Vista and Mac OS X systems, Princeton said. The product sets Princeton against US-based Newton Peripherals, which launched its tiny MoGo Dapter back in January, though it's not due to go on sale until sometime this coming autumn. It too supports Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. It measures 1.8 x 0.9 x 0.7cm and weighs 2.5g.
