IFA 07 Sharp has announced five new Aquos LCD HD TVs in a range of screen sizes: 32in, 37in, 42in, 46in and finally a 52in display. All members of the X20E range support 1080p resolution and the cinema-style 24p frame rate.

In addition, Sharp presented four new iPod sound systems. The DK-A1H and DK-A1HBK each incorporate a slot-loading CD player that can play CD-R/RWs packed with MP3 or Windows Media files. All generations of Apple's cult music player can be used and while in place, the iPod itself is charged.

Finally, the Japanese electronics giant also officially broadcast news of its new Blu-ray player, the Aquos BD-HP20S, that we first covered in July (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/07/10/sharp_preps_bd_player/). It will provide 1080p resolution and support 24p through its HDMI 1.3 port. The sleek-looking machines come in a black piano varnish finish with mirrored front and will play home-burned DVD-R/RWs and CD-R/RWs.

Europe-wide pricing and availability details for any of the products were not released, but Sharp said the BD-HP20S will probably be available on the German market during Q4, so hopefully it'll also be on sale throughout the rest of Europe at the same time.
