AppleTV with my TV?

I want to buy an AppleTV. I have a standard definition TV, but it is widescreen, and I know the AppleTV supports its resolution. But my TV only has composite and SCART inputs. Any ideas how I can link the AppleTV's HDMI or composite ports to my TV?

I though about getting a HDMI to female DVI adaptor, then plugging in the DVI-to-video connector Apple's selling on its website. Anyone tried this? ®
