We all thought LEGO's Star Wars figures were the acme of geek-friendly toys, but with Halo 3 about to roll - officially at least (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/09/19/argos_breaks_halo3_release/) - something even better's just arrived in the UK: LEGO-style Master Chief models.
Medicom's Halo 3 Kubricks: full metal jacket?
The pack of four 2.5in figures - standard Spartan green; network-play like red and blue; and a rather cute transparent 'invisible' man - come from Japan, of course, and come complete with machine pistol and assault rifle accessories.
They come from Japanese toymaker Medicom's Kubrick line - we wonder what Stanley would have thought of that - and are jointed at shoulders and hips, just like LEGO figures.
They're said to be "limited edition" packs that will "never be re-released", but we suspect there are more than enough to go round for all those hungry Halo fans looking for a desktop diorama that'll remind them of their Covenant culling exploits.
The Halo 3 Kubricks are available now from Firebox.com (http://www.firebox.com/index.html?dir=firebox&action=product&pid=1987&src_t=wnp) for 20 quid.
