Best powerline Ethernet products?22nd October 2007 14:18 GMT
I'm sick of Wi-Fi not reaching certain parts of my house, and I want to network devices that don't have wireless on board. So I'm going to roll out powerline Ethernet. But what's the best type? I mean, there's DS2's version - supported by Netgear and D-Link - and the HomePlug AV version - supported by Devolo (good write-ups in Reg Hardware), Linksys and others. Anyone here have experience of both of these? They're incompatible, so I'd like to be sure if I want to extend my powerline LAN in future, I'm still going to be able to. 4 answers posted — Answer period finished Test 85mbit Netgear, bought 200mbit DevoloPosted: 15:37 22nd October 2007 I have had good results with this kitPosted: 10:38 23rd October 2007 I use Solwise kit as well...Posted: 12:03 23rd October 2007 Any Homeplug compliant, not DS2..Posted: 12:57 23rd October 2007 Ask a QuestionTroubled by technology?
