Don't get me wrong it sounds like a nice editor (or at least is specced out to be one) but the addition of composite and s-video input is supposed to impress... who? Do they even make analogue video cameras any more? I just can't see these features pushing an editor over the brink to buy one of these things.

If Dell wants to get the youngsters into video editing they should bicker with Adobe to get the full version of Premiere on the box for a reasonable price. Throwing some form of post-production / effects software on there would be a good step as well. Do think make an After Effects Elements?

Of course any editor worth his paycheck should be able to custom build his/her ride for cost savings. God knows everything else in this industry is crazy expensive. You've got to save money somewhere and it shouldn't be on your camera.

Thumb Down

You are quite correct - how can this be considered a serious machine if it only has Elements on it?
