He said he’d be back, and he meant it. The company that owns the rights to the Terminator franchise has confirmed that a Terminator video game is being developed.
A representative from rights owner Halcyon Corporation (which sounds equally like a Skynet rival to us) has been quoted by several online sources as saying that it “doesn't want the game to be the stepchild to the film”.
The game’s due to tie into the latest Terminator film, dubbed Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, which is scheduled for release during the summer of 2009.
It’s understood that the game has been in development for several months already. Although it’s not been officially confirmed which platforms the game will appear on, it’s rumoured the title will appear on the PC and all next generation consoles.
