The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) website has come up trumps once again. It’s revealed some definitive specifications of Motorola’s latest handset, the Rizr Z6c.
Motorola's Rizr Z6c
Motorola’s handset, which appears to have successfully passed the FCCs various communications tests, runs on CDMA, and 900MHz and 1800MHz GSM networks. There's also reference to EvDO, a 3G rival to UMTS.
Its pop-up slider design makes it looks a little like handsets in Nokia’s 8800 range (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/11/13/nokia_8800_arte/), but the Rizr Z6c has a 240 x 320 (QVGA) screen to display images taken on its two-megapixel camera. Images and content can be stored on Micro SD cards.
Documents filed with the FCC also reveal the presence of Bluetooth with A2DP, for streaming music to wireless headphones.
However, the handset’s keys, menu buttons and display are all very similar to those used on many of Motorola’s previous handsets, such as the Razr range.
There’s no news yet on when the Z6c might be released, or how much it’ll cost.
