Video watch: plays movies, tells timeIf you often check the clock to see if the working day’s over yet, then a digital wrist watch with built in video display should help pass the time faster.
The Video Watch is supplied with software to help convert a whole range of video files, such as MPG, AVI and WMV, into the required SMV format. The watch connects to your PC - but not Mac - via USB and video can be stored on it thanks to a built in 2GB of Flash memory. Users can also store images and music on the watch in JPEG and MP3 formats, respectively. It has a 1.5in display with a 128 x 128 resolution and is capable of showing 260,000 colours. There are numerous controls sat around the display: volume adjustment, pause, fast forward and so on. Since it wouldn’t be much fun watching a film without any sound, there's a headphone jack on board but no speake. The sound can then be set to belt into your 'phones, tweaked by one of five pre-set equaliser modes. Related stories
A rechargeable battery powers the watch for around eight hours. Oh, and we almost forgot, it tells the time too. The Video Watch is available from online retailer Firebox for £60 (€83/$120). Related Review
