sounds like normal for Orange, not knowing their arse from their elbow, glad i left them ages ago.... My godRob Haswell • Thursday 13th December 2007 01:09 GMT
I wasn't really paying much attention to this article until I realised - a touchscreen Treo form factor device with a full keyboard running Windows? Bloody hell. I didn't actually think I'd see the day when the Windows Mobile manufacturers would sit up and take notice. Don't get me wrong - wild horses won't drag my PalmOS Treo away from me, but this looks perfect for a few of my mates who are coming up to upgrade time. May just be me, but I see no mention of this phone being touchscreen in the article? It states that it's a smart phone, but I thought M$ qualifies smartphones as those phones which run WinMobile and no touchscreen? (gotta go with Paris icon here... she is confusled!) I've had two smartphones the old M500 and the newer M3100 both had touch screens but this Treo doesn't look too bad I have however moved to a more basic Sony Ericsson as I suffered with many crashes using the M3100 I just need a phone that works and that I don't have to keep charging all the time. @CowardScott Mckenzie • Thursday 13th December 2007 10:03 GMT
So you left them ages ago yet profess to know how they work now... what a great comment. I've been with Orange (admittedly the business bunch but i manage the company phones) for 5 years and they're excellent, always helpful, good service etc... Can't fault them at all. @Adam - Samsung call the i600 a Smartphone and that is not touch screen but runs on MS, also the SPV E650 also on Orange is the same.... so i'm not sure what a Smartphone actually counts for!? What about a Palm Treo 750 for your mates, which is a touchscreen Treo with a full keyboard running Windows? @ scottAnonymous Coward • Thursday 13th December 2007 12:57 GMT
yes i did leave them ages ago & their customer service agents used to be as confused then as they are now by the sounds of it, all you have to is go read some of the many smart phone forum community's that are around to know that I'm not saying it's the customer service people's faults just that O seem to have a bad habit of not arming them them with the facts they need to do their jobs, unless of course they're just not reading said facts (im talking the end user bunch here not the business bunch) The period for commenting on this story has finished |
