Comments on ‘China to get Windows Mobile 6 'iPhone'’

Clever copy, but it ain't an iPhone

Looks like you could fit two iPhones inside the T32 judging by the thickness of it :p

No, it ain't an iPhone.

Go

That GPS receiver would appear to actually give it some functionality. I know that's not relevent to the Kool-Aid Crew but I like my tech-toys to be occassionally useful.

Really not that good

Coat

To be honest it doesn't look as good as an iPhone, and it'll weigh a tonne. If you look under the section 'IPHONE' there's a load of cheap copies that are even worse, some with 'iPhone' written on them! It's surpiring Apple doesn't sue them for the name and what not. Koenigsegg please.

Can't they come up with their own ideas.

Thumb Down

It's such a shame they feel the need to skim off other peoples success instead of putting in the effort and making their own success. Some of them can actually do some good work imitating the manufacturing that are capable of it.

Also I have a mobile PC with 05 on it and it doesn't look anything like that. I also used previous version and their changes between versions was slight enough to know that 06 doesn't look like iPhone OS (Not to mention they didn't come up with it first). If they are going to advertise an iPhone copy at least they could put the correct image on the display. I mean that's blatant miss-advertising. Just as bad as that fake iPod I got form eBay. All the images and text on the site were taken from Apples site. Yes it was fraud and so is that image placed on the front of that iPhone rip off. I wonder how many people buying that will be thinking they will get an iPhone interface look alike.

@ AC

So it looks like an iPhone. Will that really cause you or anyone else to lose sleep? If the iPhone's interface is all that's missing (and that's nothing special), there's been an iPhone skin for Windows Mobile since February '07:

How can I free 'hidden' hard drive capacity?

I've seen drives that offer 120GB and others that offer 160GB, yet both have one platter and two read/write heads. So, are they identical?

Acer Aspire One: the new sub-laptop to beat?

Early reviews of Acer's £220 Aspire One were none too complementary about its build quality, but have spent a brief time with a unit that's not a pre-production model, we'd say Eee PC creator Asus has a real challenge on its hands.
