Mobile World Congress Sony Ericsson has announced the Z770, a clamshell phone, supporting HSDPA data speeds, it's been designed offer easy access to online services. It can also be connected directly to a laptop (via USB cable) and can be used as a modem.
The Z770 clamshell incorporates Bluetooth with A2DP stereo streaming. There's a two-megapixel camera, an FM radio and all the usual applications, but this phone's really about data and messaging.
Z770i: data for the masses
Sony Ericsson even made a point about its ability to connect to a PC over a USB cable and operate as an HSDPA modem. The Z770 offer 3G HSDPA and tri-band GSM/GPRS/Edge connectivity. The handset has a 2.2in, 240 x 320, 262,144-colour screen for browsing.
While the Z770 is about data for the masses, the G700 and G900 are about taking PDA-style personal organiser tech into the mainstream. Both feature 2.4in, 240 x 320, 262,144-colour touchscreens and up to 160MB of user memory, with Memory Stick Micro slots for more.

The G900 stands above its sibling thanks to the addition of Wi-Fi and a bigger camera: five megapixels to the G700's 3.2-megapixel snapper.
They're both tri-band GSM/GPRS and 3G HSDPA handsets and run the Symbian OS and Opera's browser.
The Z770 will be available in a choice or red, black and gold. The G700 will be bronze, while the G900 will come in dark red and dark brown. All three will be available from Q2. No pricing details were available however.
