If you like music to shake you to your very core then you'll love the vibrating speakers from Miidio, because they boost their output sounds through flat surfaces, such as your table.

Miidio's UFO speaker: vibrates on contact
The speaker, which comes in three different designs, captures sound signals from a music source, such as your stereo, and then passes them downwards through a crystalline inner core to a base plate. This process causes the surface beneath the speaker to vibrate and act like an amplifier. Miidio said music can be blasted out in a full 360° space around the speaker and that the concept works especially well on glass, wood and even floorboards.
Users can choose between a UFO-shaped speaker or the Mido Keg, which both have integrated volume controls and come in a selection of bright colours. Alternately, the vibrating Piggy speaker is, well, shaped like a pig.
All three designs are available now in the UK, priced from £50 (€75/$100) for the pig-shaped speaker and £80 (€105/$170) for the Keg.
