We’ve already seen supermarkets launch Medion's low-cost PCs (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/07/19/medion_sainsburys/), but if you navigate your way down to Aldi later this month, you’ll be able to spend a little and save a lot on a budget Medion satnav.
Medion's E3212: spuds, chicken, bread, milk, satnav...
The supermarket chain is attempting to lure customers to try something new by picking up Medion’s E3212 satnav for £120 (€175/$240). The E3212 is based around a Samsung 400MHz CPU and Medion's GoPal Navigator 4 software, which is already available for existing satnavs in the manufacturer's range.
The E3212 has a 3.5in LCD display and comes with 1GB of internal storage, which can be used to plot to your route to supermarkets all over the UK and Europe, maps for which are included. A mini USB port is built into the unit, which also sports an SD memory card slot.
RDS TMC traffic updates feature on the satnav, so you’ll always get the frozen goods home before they melt. Users can also choose to be navigated by either a compass-style arrow, or a 2D or 3D map display.
Medion’s E3212 will be available from Aldi later this month and comes with a three-year warranty. Well, every little helps... [Wrong store - Ed)
