Boost your iPhone's network coverage4th April 2008 12:08 GMT Audio peripherals manufacturer Griffin has unveiled a protective case for the iPhone, which the company also claims boosts the handset’s network reception.
Griffin's ClearBoost: increase reception and protect your iPhone ClearBoost has a small booster antenna sticking out the top that Griffin states “captures more of the available wireless signal”, boosting the iPhone’s internal antenna and helping to increase the phone’s reception. Griffin also claims the reception boost results in fewer dropped calls, wider network coverage and faster web browsing or downloads. Related stories
ClearBoost’s external antenna could get in the way sometimes though, such as when you put the iPhone into your pocket. The polycarbonate case snaps around your iPhone to help protect the device from scrapes and knocks. Slots have been punched out of the case that line-up with the iPhone’s volume buttons and camera lens. Griffin’s ClearBoost is available now online for $30 (£15/€22). A UK release date or price hasn’t been picked up yet. 3 comments posted — Comment period finished Just what every Apple fanboy secretly wants,...Posted: 12:22 4th April 2008 yes but is it big enoughPosted: 12:59 4th April 2008 but...Posted: 14:22 4th April 2008 |
