Iomega has redesigned its portable hard drive, the eGo, for storage connoisseurs, by wrapping the drive in gentlemanly brown leather.
Iomega's eGo: leather bound
The eGo range first hit the high-street (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/06/27/iomega_ego_drive/) back in June 2007. The new leather variant is described as a “must have” gadget for everyone from fashionistas and tech enthusiasts to business executives. Supposedly the drive can also withstand drops of up to 1.3m too.
The 2.5in drive sports a 250GB capacity and is powered by USB. It also comes bundled with EMC’s Retrospect HD software for automated and on-demand back-ups. Iomega’s drive is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X or higher, but Retrospect HD only works with Windows.
Iomega’s eGo leather portable hard drive is available now in the UK for £100 (€130/$200).
