SanDisk jacks into USB 2.0 storage28th May 2008 10:50 GMT Fans of mobile-based snapping and music know how quickly storage capacity can be eaten up. So, SanDisk has launched a range of Flash memory cards designed to expand the capacity of your non-expandable storage.
SanDisk's Ultra Mobile range: fast and easy storage Related stories
The manufacturer’s Ultra Mobile range consists of Micro SD, Micro SDHC and Memory Stick Micro cards, ranging between 2GB and 8GB. However, each card is bundled with a SanDisk MobileMate Micro Reader, which slots into any USB 2.0 slot and allows data to be extracted and stored onto the external memory card, which slots into the opposite end of the reader. This means anyone running out of space for, say, pictures can quickly move some old images from off of their phone’s memory and onto an external Flash card. But, if you’re a more heavy-duty user, then SanDisk also claims that both the Star Wars Trilogy and the Matrix Trilogy could be stored on a single 8GB card. SanDisk’s Ultra Mobile range will be available in the UK next month, with prices ranging between £15 (€20/$30) and £60 (€75/$120). 1 comment posted — Comment period finished Just RepackagingPosted: 11:51 29th May 2008
