Autumn release for HSDPA-enabled Eee PC?
Carrier deals come through

Europeans could get their hands on a 3G-equipped Eee PC as early as... the end of September, Asus has indicated.
That's almost a year on from the Asian company's first public comment that it had such an offering (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/10/16/asus_launches_eee_pc/) in the pipeline.
Since then, rival ECS has touted its G10IL 10in sub-notebook (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/03/20/ecs_spills_g10il_beans/) with integrated HSDPA. It's expected to appear through a number of carriers in September or October, IDG reports.
In France, a number of enterprising phone sellers have bundled Small, Cheap Computers with USB 3G modems (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/01/21/france_sfr_eee_pc_3g/), and while that's an approach Asus has always been keen on, it's not yet managed to strike up such a deal in the UK.
Right now, the only way to add HSDPA to an Eee internally is to follow one guy's example and do it yourself (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/12/05/man_mods_eee_pc/).
