Elgato transmits MacBook Air-friendly Freeview tunerTV-on-Mac specialist Elgato has rolled out its first truly MacBook Air-friendly digital tuner. Dubbed the EyeTV DTT Deluxe, the USB dongle is thin enough to fit into the Air's solitary, space-restricted USB slot - and even more easily into any other Mac's USB 2.0 port.
Elgato's EyeTV DTT Deluxe: The unit comes with two antennae: a standard digital TV tuner aerial and a telescopic job, the former for areas where the signal's weak, the latter for strong-signal zones - so that's the UK out, ahem... There's no analogue tuner on board, but Elgato indicated the new unit packs in improved signal processing hardware, allowing it to deliver a lossless image straight to the screen. Related stories
