The i8510 will be launched through Carphone Warehouse (CW) next month as the first eight-megapixel camera-phone ever to hit Blighty.

Unfortunately, there’s not much more to say than that, because neither Samsung nor CW are willing to give away how much the phone will cost or say which day in September the super-snapper phone will be available.

Samsung officially announced the i8510 in July and, aside from the camera, it sports either 8GB or 16GB of on-board memory and 3G HSDPA connectivity at up to 7.2Mb/s. Also under the hood is Assisted GPS and Wi-Fi.
