The storage card is targeted at “professional digital videographers and photographers” and can perform read and write operations at speeds of up to 30MB/s.
Any photographers sent on a shoot out to say, Egypt or Everest, will be interested to know that the CF card is guaranteed to work in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 85°C.
SanDisk’s Extreme III 32GB CompactFlash card will be available in the US next month for $300 (£150/€200). It’ll also become available in the UK next month, but a local price hasn’t been recorded yet.
