If you’re planning to buy your better half a Bluetooth gadget this Christmas, but are confused about compatibility then a new, official website could help put the advice of all those “trained in-store sales professionals” to shame.
The official Bluetooth Gadget Guide
The online Bluetooth Gadget Guide’s been designed by the Bluetooth SIG - the body behind the standard - to “help consumers match their current Bluetooth enabled devices to companion products”.
For example, type 'W595' into the website’s search facility and up pops a list of 25 Bluetooth gadgets that are deemed compatible with the Sony Ericsson Walkman phone – reviewed here (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/10/31/review_mobile_phone_sony_ericsson_walkman_w595/). The group’s list covers everything from the MacBook Pro to a Logitech portable speaker.
