Jabra has launched a Bluetooth headset with two embedded microphones to help drown out noisy neighbours.

Called Halo, the wireless headset allows you to take calls and listen to music without others around you affecting the sound quality.

This is achieved by using two microphones – one to capture your speech and another to capture background noise, which is then electronically extracted from what you're saying and what you're listening to.

The result, Jabra claimed, is “natural-sounding voice quality” and “crystal clear stereo sound”. When a call comes in, your music’s faded out.

Halo can connect to any Bluetooth-enabled music device, MP3 player or mobile phone. A 3.5mm headphone jack allows you to connect the headset into other devices.

It also has a discreet display to show how much of the claimed eight-hour talk/music battery life is left and the connectivity status. A volume control is built in too.

Jabra’s Halo will be available on 1 May for $130 (£90/€99). A UK price hasn’t been given. ®
