Just for fun, claims company blogger

Dell has shown off a netbook running Google’s Android OS. Well, sort of.

Doug Anson, a Technology Strategist at Dell, has released a video blog in which he runs through three versions of the Mini 10v netbook: one running Ubuntu Linux, another running Ubuntu Netbook Remix and a third running Android – Cupcake edition, naturally.
Anson’s quick to point out that Dell “doesn’t have any announced products with the Android environment running on the netbook”.
But his video won’t do much to displace rumours that Dell’s secretly working on an Android-based PC, which first cropped up earlier this month when a loose-lipped business partner revealed in a press release that, actually, Dell does have an Android machine in the works. ®
