Panasonic pitches high-speed SDHC cards
Class 10 rating

Panasonic will release its Class 10 SDHC memory cards in the UK next month.
The cards - available in 4, 8, 16 and 32GB capacities - have a minimum read and write speed of 10MB/s - hence the Class 10 status.
However, Panasonic said the cards have a maximum speed of 22MB/s, which is lower than many high-speed cards on the market today. SanDisk's Extreme III SDHCs, for instance, have maximum speeds of 30MB/s.
Price tends to scale rapidly with card capacity and maximum speed. Panasonic said it wants £45, £86 and £168 for the 4, 8 and 16GB cards, and a whopping £529 for the 32GB one. ®
