Hmmmmm

Now somebody just needs to put Android on it.

If they can make touchscreen phone so cheap, let's wait for all those Chinese shops to start releasing Android phones... Without OS cost overhead it can be a big game-changer.

Real price?

"Would you take a punt on a sub-£50 touchscreen phone?"

Dunno. Is that the price unlocked and without a contract?

Could be interesting

Thumb Up

Having any sort of QWERTY ability is an attractive feature in a phone this price, even if it does require use of a stylus. I love having the ability to send texts but typing them out on a number pad is a real pain, even with predictive.

I'm not sure why you had so little user memory available - was it filled with demo crap from the factory ? My wife has an Orange Berlin (also marketed as having 64MB) and its memory was almost entirely usable. Did the reviewer even try to delete everything before complaining ?

Out of interest, do any of the games make use of the touchscreen ?

I wouldn't be so hasty to write this one off.

Close to the real price.........

"a phone that sells for £49 on pay-as-you-go"

no contract, but not unlocked.

7 days on standby?

Stop

Whats wrong with that? Even if it did only 5 days, thats pretty good going for phones these days.

I have a HTC with the expanded battery and I'm lucky if that goes for 4!

Bring back the days of old when a phone could go 10 days+

Last holiday I went on I took more charging equipment than clothes.
