A blogger recently posted a video online that he claims documents his iMac machine in the beginnings of a very dangerous situation, as thick white smoke begins to billow out of the machine’s rear ventilation slots.
The blogger – who filmed the event on his iPhone 3GS - hasn’t given any explanation as to why the fire may have started.
Worryingly, he seems more preoccupied with documenting the smoking iMac than pulling the plug on his machine.
Supposedly faulty and dangerous Apple gadgets have gained plenty of press of late. Earlier this month, for example, Apple was accused of trying to silence a father and his daughter with a legal gagging after the girl’s iPod Touch inexplicably exploded. ®
