Acer is determined to snare pole position in the notebook market and so has once more turned to Ferrari for inspiration.

Acer's Ferrari One boasts a dual-core AMD Athlon X2 L310 CPU
The new Ferrari One sports an iconic ‘racing red’ lid – complete with prancing pony Ferrari logo, of course – and a carbon fibre-look underbelly that draws parallels with the Italian car firm’s pricier models.
But instead of a turbo-charged V8 under the bonnet, you will find a dual-core AMD Athlon X2 L310 1.2GHz CPU and 2GB of 800MHz DDR 2 memory.
The machine has an 11in, 1366 x 768 display and graphics delivered courtesy of an ATI Radeon HD 3200 GPU, Acer said.
That's spec enough to get the laptop classified as an AMD Vision machine.
A 250GB HDD comes as standard, as does a multi-format memory card reader. On the connectivity side of things, the Ferrari One features 802.11b/g Wi-Fi support, Acer added.

Optional extras include Bluetooth, 3G and electric windows
The 285 x 24 x 204mm model’s other noteworthy features include chiclet-style keys and a multi-touch mousepad. Acer claimed that the machine’s six-cell battery is good for five hours of continuous use.
Acer will ship the Ferrari One from 22 October for an on-the-desktop price of €450 (£393/$656). ®
